Situated on 10 hectares of land in the La Lisa district of Havana is the Frank Pais Orthopedic Hospital, the leading orthopedic center in Cuba. The hospital treats Cubans, international patients, athletes, and dancers for sports or dance-related injuries.

The Frank Pais Orthopedic Hospital specializes in the treatment of all orthopedic diseases and trauma. Each year, this institution treats about 60,000 Cubans and approximately 550 foreign patients. One of its major successes is its Sports Traumatology Center within the hospital.

On the hospital grounds, there are three hotels, rehabilitation sites, sauna facilities, a swimming pool, and areas for practicing sports such as basketball, golf, and tennis.

The Frank Pais Orthopedic Hospital has 750 beds and 28 operating rooms with three operating units. Orthopedic prosthetics are also made on location at the hospital. There is an onsite tissue bank for grafting when necessary.
